Definition of Characteristics

  • Needle Retention - The tree's ability to retain its needles and color throughout the Christmas season.

  • Decorating Branch Strength - Strong and stiff branches hold heavier and/or more ornaments. For those who prefer to lightly decorate your tree, a soft branch strength is all that is needed.

  • Aromatic - While all conifers (evergreens) are aromatic, the highly fragrant tend to impact you each time you enter the room, filling your room with the smells of Christmas.

  • Needle Length - Describes the length of the needles on the tree which varies and gives each tree its own distinctive look.

  • Color - All conifers (evergreens) are green. However, some tend to reflect variations of green and can even be more blue than green, like some of the Colorado Blue Spruce, hence the name.

  • Needle Sharpness - Reflects the comfort and ease of handling and decorating the tree.

  • Natural Pine Cones - Some trees have their own natural ornaments of distinctive pine cones. Many of these tree species do have pine cones. However, those pine cones reveal themselves when tree sizes grow beyond 20 feet.

  • Price - We offer high quality trees grown locally in Southwestern Colorado. Our trees are produced by a top tree grower with over 45 years of experience, making our tree prices highly competitive.
